These terms govern your use of Emplora. Plain-language summaries sit above each clause; the clause itself is what binds.
This agreement is between Emplora Technologies Private Limited and the legal entity you register. The person completing registration confirms they are authorised to bind that entity. Where an organization has multiple administrators, any act by an administrator is an act of the organization.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the employee, statutory and banking data you enter, and for the access you grant. Roles are created and assigned by you. We do not review, approve or verify payroll figures; the approval of a payroll run is your act, recorded against the approving user.
You own your data. We process it to provide the service, in India, and only as described in the privacy policy. Support personnel have no standing access to employee-level salary, bank or statutory identifiers; access is granted per request, time-boxed, and written to your organization’s audit log. On termination you may export everything for thirty days, after which it is deleted.
Paid plans are charged per active employee on the register at the start of each billing cycle, exclusive of GST. Employees who exit stop being billable from the following cycle. Upgrades are charged pro rata on the day of upgrade; downgrades take effect at the next cycle. Failed charges are retried once before the organization is suspended.
Do not use Emplora to process payroll for people you do not employ or represent, attempt to access another organization’s data, or upload material you have no right to. Automated access is permitted through the documented API only.
We target 99.9% monthly availability, publish incidents on the status page, and give at least seven days’ notice of planned maintenance that affects write operations. Payroll deadlines remain yours; we recommend approving runs at least one working day before your pay date.
Emplora computes statutory figures from the configuration and data you provide. We are not your accountant or your legal adviser, and we are not liable for penalties arising from data you entered incorrectly or filings you chose not to make. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You may close your organization at any time from the danger zone in settings, which requires typing the organization name. We may suspend an organization for non-payment or for a breach of acceptable use, with notice where practicable. A thirty-day retention window applies in both directions.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
