Three steps, and the arithmetic is already done

Lock attendance, review and adjust, approve and generate. Everything statutory — EPF ceilings, ESIC eligibility, professional tax by state, TDS regime — is applied as you go and can be opened line by line.

01Step 1

Lock attendance

A readiness checklist tells you what is missing before anything is calculated — salary structures, statutory config, days marked. Creating the run locks the cycle's attendance so figures cannot drift underneath you.

02Step 2

Review & adjust

One dense table: paid days, gross, EPF, ESIC, PT, TDS and net for every person, with a totals row that recomputes as you edit. Any override needs a reason, and the reason travels with the payslip.

03Step 3

Approve & generate

The confirming button states the blast radius: “Approve & generate 9 payslips”. Approval posts the journal, generates the payslips and writes your name against the run.

The edge cases are the product

01LOP
LOP on calendar or working daysChoose the basis once in settings and every payslip follows it. September shows 22 working days out of 30 calendar days, and the payable-days column shows the arithmetic rather than hiding it.
02Joiners
Mid-month joiners and leaversPro-rated from the date of joining, with EPF and ESIC applied on the pro-rated wage and the ceiling checked against the actual month.
03Loans
Loans and advancesSet an instalment once; it recovers automatically each cycle, shows on the payslip as its own line, and stops when the outstanding hits zero.
04F&F
Full and final settlementEarned salary to date, leave encashment, loan recovery outstanding and net settlement, computed in one preview before you record the exit.
